What a privilege it has been to photograph this adoring mama and daddy and their beautiful baby girl Presley. We met them back in our carefree, child-free days in San Diego and are lucky to count them as neighbors here in Virginia.

This was a special session. First and foremost, because this little girl has been very long awaited and much anticipated. She is a gift in so many ways. Second, because it marks a change in my approach to newborn photography. Moving forward sessions are going to be even more relational and my style more organic. In the blur of the first few days as new parents, mamas and daddies are in awe of their tiny blessings. They are grateful, amazed and head-over-heels in love with their babies. What better way to showcase that than through photography. It is too important to miss.
