like many photographers, i’ve been lax in remembering to capture little moments when the setting/lighting/background etc. isn’t ideal. my little one doesn’t care — and neither should i. so i’ve been my old camera like a point + shoot. here’s a snap from last month. liam had been crying becasue i was at the computer. when i turned to take his picture, he gave me a big smile. how i love him. and my new commitment to p+s!

  • Amy - I just found your blog…I absolutely love the work that you do. Very inspiring.

I too forget quite a bit to just capture the “moments” whether they be perfect or not! Thank you for reminding me!ReplyCancel

  • thepinkangel - so true. I find myself doing the same thing. I should have my camera with me when I wouldn’t normally even bother to bring it.

    Thanks for the reminder.ReplyCancel

my baby liam is one today. an amazing, incredible, tiring, exasperating, exhilarating, marvelous darling liam, what a blessing you are! how you have taught me to see beyond myself. to love deeper than i thought possible. to embrace and rejoice in motherhood. i praise God for you every day.

he is no longer a baby to the rest of the world-walking, dancing, clapping, signing, communicating. but i wanted to remember him this way. as *my* baby. photos from a few days ago:

“I’ll love you forever,
I’ll like you for always,
as long as I’m living
my baby you’ll be.”
