“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” Elliott Erwitt
One of my main goals for the next year is to archive my *own* family photos. I have drives full (backed up of course!), but haven’t assembled them into albums. It’s time I created a tangible archive of my own personal memories — so many are simply snapshots and not works of art. So many of these are my favorites. They are also a good reminder to keep shooting and savor ordinary moments. Moments when hair is tangled, when the light isn’t good, when we’re just being us.
A few of my family lounging in our bed last year…
